MORSE at LA JOLLA
Morse favors the run on offense as the Tigers open Eastern League play. Michael Cunningham, who has 105 carries for 822 yards and 10 TDs, carries the load along with Jaycob Hicks, who has 412 yards. The La Jolla offense revolves around QB Jackson Stratton.

RANCHO BERNARDO at WESTVIEW
Rancho Bernardo is looking to take command of the Palomar League race. The Broncos, who have won three in a row, are led by QB Zeke Payne (1,117 yards passing) and WR Ja’Shon Williams (422 yards receiving). Westview snapped a four-game losing streak last week. The Wolverines have scored just 49 points, but have given up only 85.

Control of the Grossmont Valley League is at stake in this one. West Hills is led by LB Jake Maheu and has won three in a row. Santana, one of four remaining unbeaten teams in the San Diego Section, is led by QB Nathan Temple. The Sultans average 43 points on offense while allowing just seven on defense.

GROSSMONT at GRANITE HILLS
There should be some offensive fireworks in this Grossmont Hills League game. Grossmont averages 546.7 yards behind QB Jaime Odom, who has thrown for 1,681 yards and 17 TDs. RB Robert Tucker has rushed for 656 yards. Granite Hills averages 320 yards offensively with QB Justus McComb doing the heavy lifting. He has thrown for 1,203 yards and rushed for 259.

The overall record isn’t good, but Eastlake can stay in the hunt for the Metro Mesa League title. RBs Mateo La and Emiliano Lozano lead the Titans. Bonita Vista has lost two in a row, including a 26-23 decision to Otay Ranch last week. Eastlake romped last year 49-7.

Clarence Freeman has 44 catches for 758 yards and Clay Petry has 28 receptions for 582 yards. La Jolla Country Day is led by QB EJ Kreutzmann, who has thrown for 2,545 yards and 28 TDs. Nicholas Albert has 956 yards (775 receiving). WR Daniel Rosenberg has 52 catches and Brandon Kim 37.
