TUSCUMBIA, Mo. — Sheriff’s deputies will be on campus at the Miller County R-III schools Tuesday after a round of ammunition was found on the property.
According to a post from the school district, someone found a single round of ammunition in the parking lot Tuesday morning.
Administrators placed the school on a soft lockdown as a precaution and called in the Miller County Sheriff’s Department to investigate.
Police found no threat to the school and the lockdown was lifted. The district is not sure where the ammunition came from, but plans to keep deputies there throughout the day.
