Voter’s Comments

Phil Blackwell: C-NS brought an end to Baldwinsville’s undefeated run, but given the way both these teams are looked, it’s likely they have two more chances to face each other. Bishop Grimes, in knocking off unbeaten CBA, and Marcellus, toppling Bishop Ludden, both are teams that have the capability of knocking off South Jefferson in Class B, and don’t worry too much about the Brothers, who won three times in four days after it lost to the Cobras. Maybe, in the case of the Bees and Brothers, a defeat is the best thing that can happen to a contender, making them hungry again.

Mike Curtis: After Baldwinsville and South Jefferson suffered their first losses of the season, Brookfield is the last undefeated team left in Section III. C-NS is still unbeaten since the start of 2020. CBA shot the lights out against New Hartford on Saturday, connecting on 11 triples.

Pat Spadafore: It’s kind of a quiet week as many schools have midterm exams scheduled. However, one big match up has Waterville traveling to Weedsport for a big non-league game between two ranked Class C schools. I’ve been impressed with the Warriors non-league schedule this season.

Nolan Weidner: Had to catapult C-NS girls into top spot in Class AA after Northstar wins over West Genny and Baldwinsville last week. Bees aren’t going anywhere, as they could have won at C-NS. J-D and South Jeff shouldn’t get penalized for losses to ranked Class AA teams. Class B powers Marcellus and Oneida are scheduled to play Feb. 8 – right before playoff seedings.
